History
1936 - Farmersville Equipment was started by Ivan Z. Nolt, repairing farm machinery in a garage five miles northwest of New Holland, Pennsylvania in the village of Farmersville.
1938 - The business started selling and servicing Oliver tractors and farm machinery.
1940 - Clydeth (Bud) Buch was hired to help expand the business and it prospered with sales of the Oliver 60 and 70 tractors.
1945 - Our present facility was constructed, totaling over 30,000 square feet for the showroom, parts and service areas. Additional lines of farm equipment, hardware, home appliances and Bolens lawn and garden equipment were added.
1954 - In the picture above you can see, Tom is starting to show an interest in the business.
1970 - Bud purchased Farmersville Equipment and Tom Buch graduated from high school, officially joining the family business.
1975 - Farmersville Equipment began selling White tractors and farm equipment.
1977 - Tom began collecting farm toys and Oliver memorabilia.
1985 - Used Oliver tractor parts started being sold and our Oliver tractor salvage yard was born. At that time, we stopped selling new White equipment and started purchasing Oliver parts inventories from dealers.
1995 - Tom purchased Bud's interest in the business and incorporated Farmersville Equipment Inc.
2008 - We completed our most recent parts buyout and now have purchased more than 15 White-Oliver dealers' new parts inventories.
2011 - In March, Tom's father passed at the age of 88.
2011 - In July, Tom experienced a mini-stroke. He was fortunate that there were no lasting effects. He is taking this opportunity to start liquidating his Oliver tractor inventory and toys at his auction in December so that he has the time to focus on family and other enjoyable pastimes. Tom will not be selling the Farmersville business property. He plans to rent a portion of the building and compete several of his own tractor restoration projects. Present day - Tom's collection of farm toys and memorabilia now includes over 300 items. Our parts inventory for Oliver tractors consists of the largest inventory of new, used and rebuilt Oliver tractor parts anywhere in the world.
